Current
Ashira co-founded Eagle Talon Partners alongside Karim in 2020. She develops and optimizes trading algorithms using statistical analysis and machine learning.

Experience
Ashira has 7+ years of coding experience and specializes in quantitative analysis. Prior to Eagle Talon, she spent two summers as a quantitative developer and researcher at AJO Partners, a $17B+ AUM* systematic investing fund. There she constructed consumer discretionary-specific signals to expand the firm’s trading model, coded unit tests to ensure the accuracy of the data access layer, and built a customized charting library to advance data visualization at the company.

Education
Ashira graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics. She further specialized in Computer Science at the University of Oxford while studying abroad there for a year. In 2020, the Amherst Board of Trustees honored her with the Samuel Walley Brown Scholarship for being the highest ranked Junior in character, class leadership, scholarship, and athletic ability.

Community
She has worked with multiple non-profits that share the mission of empowering refugee and at-risk girls in the Middle East through sports and education, including currently as a Junior Board Member at Reclaim Childhood and previously as Co-Chair of the Junior Board at Squash Dreamers. She is also the President of Cornell’s Recreational Squash Club.

Interests
Ashira is based out of Naples, Florida and is often in New York. Outside of the office, she plays squash, reads, and plays piano.
