Current
Karim founded Eagle Talon Partners in 2020. He is responsible for Eagle Talon’s fundamental and systematic investment processes. He spends his time hunting for investment opportunities, crafting optimal investment structures, and implementing trades.

Experience
Karim has 30+ years of experience in finance and specializes in event-focused fundamental investing. Prior to forming Eagle Talon, he founded Paragon Intel, a fintech alternative data analytics company that translates management behavior into actionable investment ideas. He spent the 15+ years before that as an investment manager, launching and running the special situations hedge fund Dentonia Park Capital Management as well as holding Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst positions at Morgan Stanley, Scout Capital, Perennial Investors, and several other New York hedge funds. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley in Equity Research and at Deloitte as an M&A/Restructuring banker.

Education
Karim received a BA in History from the University of Western Ontario and earned an MBA degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canada and is a CFA Charterholder.

Community
He serves on the Board of the Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida.

Interests
He and his wife, Betty, are based out of Naples, Florida after 20+ years in New York City. When not in the office, he spends time with his family, practices yoga, and plays pickleball, squash, and badminton.
