Harmony Shores Community: Holidays Gifts for Families Affected by Hurricane Ian

Thank you for joining us in supporting our neighbors in Naples! Together, we donated thousands of dollars in food, clothing, toys, and sports equipment to families in Harmony Shores, a small community in Naples, Florida that was severely damaged by Hurricane Ian.

In the wake of the hurricane as Betty and Tami were distributing hot coffee and food to hard-hit areas, they learned that this community had been severely damaged but was not getting the resources it needed. Then within days of the hurricane, a private developer threatened to evict the residents from the land.

To bring a little extra holiday joy to Harmony Shores this season, we threw a holiday party in December where we distributed hundreds of presents to children and families in the community. We loved hanging out with them for an afternoon — we especially appreciated the kids’ VERY enthusiastic coloring of the “Thank you” sign for Dick’s Sporting Goods!

Many people uplifted our community in recent months and helped the yoga event raise funds to buy presents for children in Harmony Shores. Thank you to those who attended the yoga event, to Le Indya for donating food, to Cyprus Lodge for providing the venue, and to the Yogis and musicians who contributed their time and talents: Jackie Bingham, Cheryl Patton, Debbie Hoopes, Rick and Lindsey Franz. We are also incredibly grateful to Dick’s Sporting Goods, who donated thousands of dollars in sneakers, clothing, and sports equipment to give to the families. Please join us in supporting the people and businesses who contributed!
